Documents for the purchase and sale of property (Purchase).

Photocopy of ID or Passport
Receipts of payment of the property transfer tax (F.M.A.) from the competent TAX OFFICE  for the property to be purchased. In order to calculate and pay this tax, the buyer has submitted, before signing the contract, a special declaration drawn up by the notary, to the competent TAX OFFICE.
Supporting documents are only required if the buyer requests the transfer tax exemption for the purchase of a first home. In this case, he should submit to the TAX OFFICE  of the property, together with the transfer tax statements and the following.

In the case of tax exemption for the purchase of a first home, the buyer must submit to the competent TAX OFFICE.:

A responsible declaration stating that he has not used the right of tax exemption for the acquisition of a first home in the past and that he does not fully own another house or apartment.
Simple copies of the income statements of the last 5 years. A copy of the E9 form certified by the tax office.
If he is married, he will need a certificate of marital status and sign a responsible declaration of article 8 of Law 1599/86 with the content that will be indicated by the TAX OFFICE.
