New Property Values are proposed by the independent appraisers who had undertaken to fulfill the commitment of Greece to the institutions for shaping the prices of the Tax Office at the level of the market that will enter into force in January 2022.

Real estate Valuers who have submitted their suggestions for the new zone prices to the financial staff are proposing increases of 30%, 50% and even 100% in some areas. Of course, for 90% of the prices quoted, they have not taken into account the impact of the pandemic on the real estate market as they were submitted to the Ministry of Finance in early March 2020, ie before the coronavirus crisis broke out. However, according to market experts, real estate is resisting the pandemic and prices remain high as it is estimated that sales will pick up again after the summer, when the country will leave behind the nightmare of the coronavirus.

Thus, the calculation of Property Tax (ENFIA ) 2022 will be based on new  values ​​and the payment will be made in up to 10 installments with the first installment in March 2022. That is, property owners as soon as they pay the last installment of TAX for 2021, will start paying TAX for 2022.
